The Darby Bible (DBY), officially titled The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby, is the biblical text that has been translated from Hebrew and Greek by John Nelson Darby. Darby initially released a translation of the New Testament in 1867, with subsequent revised editions published in 1872 and 1884. Following his passing, several of his students created an Old Testament translation derived from Darby’s French and German texts. The complete Darby Bible, which comprises Darby’s third edition of the New Testament along with the Old Testament produced by his students, was first released in 1890.
