For personal private study and reading of the Holy Bible, I use the KJV Concord Wide Margin Reference Bible by Cambridge University Press. I also refer to the New American Standard Bible 1995. My primary resources and material for study include the Old Scofield Reference Bible, the Thompson Chain-Reference Bible, the Newberry Bible, the Companion Bible, and the Ryrie Study Bible.

I find the NASB to be more precise than the AV/KJV in certain verses, while in other instances, I prefer the AV/KJV over the NASB. I decided to adopt the NASB as the chief translation for my writing in June 2025, leading me to focus on two principal translations of God’s Word: the Authorised (King James) Version and the New American Standard Bible (NASB 95).

The primary reason I choose the NASB for my writing is its clarity, making it more comprehensible for contemporary readers and listeners. The NASB serves as a solid and literal translation of God’s Word, akin to the Old King James Version. I also find the Darby Translation a faithful and useful tool in the study of God’s Holy Word.
