Hughes Literal Translation (HLT)

The translation work is currently underway, beginning with the New Testament. Each chapter of the Bible will be published on this website as it is completed. The New Testament is expected to be fully translated by February 2026. At present, Genesis 1–31 from the Old Testament is available, along with the following books from the New Testament (see list below).

The Anchor Gospel Ministry (AGM), is the media teaching ministry of Nathan A. Hughes, preacher and writer. Nathan’s online ministry began in 2023 under his own name. In 2025, the ministry was formally established as The Anchor Gospel Ministry, with a clear vision to reach people worldwide.

The ministry exists to ground and anchor Christians in the teachings of the Bible and to reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To that end, we serve the Church by producing online media and resources that are educational, biblical, and informative. These include articles, Bible studies, books, podcasts, devotional materials, and video teaching, as well as providing clear and faithful answers to questions concerning the Bible and Christianity.

Our aim is to help Christians understand what they believe, why they believe it, how to live it, and how to share it with others.

The Anchor Gospel Ministry also serves as the official repository for all of Nathan A. Hughes’s Bible-teaching material.
