Supporting ministry through financial contributions is rooted in the Bible. The Gospel of Luke tells us that Jesus and His twelve apostles received financial support from several women who accompanied them (Luke 8:1-3).

Jesus and His followers were able to meet their daily necessities thanks to the generous donations from these women. Their support for Jesus and His disciples had a significant and lasting effect on many lives, and the benefits continue to be felt even today. That’s an impressive yield on their investment!

This attitude of generosity is highlighted in the Bible. The apostle Paul received financial support from Christians who contributed to his ministry (2 Cor 9:1-15; Phil 4:16-18). Those who contributed to him played a role in promoting the gospel and biblical teachings. Paul emphasized that their contributions should come from the right mindset, stating, “Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Cor 9:7). Additionally, Paul noted that those who give will themselves receive blessings from the Lord, saying, “Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness” (2 Cor 9:10).
