On this day in 1951, Harry A. Ironside entered into the presence of the Lord.
Ironside was a faithful Bible expositor, evangelist, and pastor of Moody Church in Chicago, widely respected for his clear, verse-by-verse preaching and unwavering commitment to the authority of Scripture. Though largely self-taught, God used him mightily through sermons, books, and conferences to strengthen the Church and defend the gospel.
His life reminds us that deep biblical conviction, humility, and perseverance in preaching Christ can leave a lasting legacy.
“Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season.” (2 Timothy 4:2)
Faithful in life, triumphant in death.
