“Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.” – 2 Corinthians 9:15
Paul’s words capture the heart of Christmas, thanksgiving for God’s unspeakable gift. The birth of Christ is a gift so great, so precious, so beyond human comprehension, that no words can fully describe it. It is the gift of God Himself, given freely to us in love.
Christmas is often filled with gifts, but none can compare to this one. Earthly gifts fade and lose their value, but Christ is eternal. He is the gift that brings salvation, peace, joy, and hope. He is the treasure above all treasures.
As we close this week of reflection, let us remember that Christmas is not about what we receive under the tree but what we have received at the cross, the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Praise God for the indescribable gift of His Son, and ask Him to keep Christ at the center of your life, not only during Christmas but every day.
