1. God became man.

God Himself came to dwell among us, in the person of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 1:23 says, “Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and they shall name Him Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.”

2. Fulfilment of prophecy.

The Lord Jesus Christ was Born of a virgin. From David’s line. In Bethlehem. God keeps His word.

Isaiah 7:14 says, “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.”

3. The beginning of salvation.

Jesus was born to save His people from their sins. The manger leads to the cross.

Matthew 1:21 says, “She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

4. God revealed His glory through humility.

The King of creation chose a manger, not a palace. God’s glory shines brightest in humble obedience.

Luke 2:7 says, “And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”

5. Peace and hope arrived.

Not the world’s temporary peace—God’s lasting peace for all who trust Him.

Isaiah 9:6 says, “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”

The birth of the Lord Jesus Christ is the most important birth in all human history. His birth is above Kings, Queens, Rulers, and all men. Because His birth was the birth of the Prince of Peace, the Saviour of the world.
