Instructions for Godly Living
But as for you, speak the things fitting for sound teaching.
The older men, sober, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in endurance.
The older women, likewise, in behaviour as holy, not slanderers, not enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good,
that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
Likewise, encourage the young men to be sensible in mind,
in all things showing yourself as a model of good works, in teaching showing integrity, dignity,
sound speech that cannot be condemned, that the opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say about us.
Bondservants, be submissive to your own masters, in everything pleasing, not arguing,
not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the teaching of God our Saviour in everything.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people,
instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires, to live sensibly, righteously, and godly in this present age,
waiting for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ,
who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good works.
Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
