Confidence – Philippians 4:13

Confidence is God’s key to the Christian life. In this first podcast Nathan encourages believers to put their trust and hope in God rather than man.

Confidence comes from God – Jud. 7:2, Psa. 2:4, 46:1-3.
A lack of confidence in God causes us to struggle in the matters of life – Jer. 1:6-8.

One of the greatest blessings to the church is someone who has great confidence in God and His word. We need more men today who will take a bold stand for truth in this age of rebellion and rejection of God.

The Lord gave us His word so we may know the truth and know that we have eternal life (1 John 5:13). It is better to trust in God who knows all things than to put confidence in man who is limited in power and knowledge (Psalm 118:8-9).

It is a folly to think that man has all the answers to the issues of life. Trust only in God, the creator of all that is good and profitable. Heed to the wisdom regarding confidence in an unfaithful man in Pro. 25:19. Many have been destroyed by the vain wisdom of man. Worship God in the Spirit and have no confidence in the flesh (Phil. 3:3-5). The flesh profits nothing. Trust and rest in God alone. Learn to depend on God.
