John Fullerton MacArthur Jr. (born June 19, 1939) is an American pastor and writer who leads the national Christian radio and television show Grace to You. He has served as the pastor of Grace Community Church, a non-denominational congregation in Sun Valley, California since February 9, 1969. He is also the chancellor emeritus of The Master’s University and The Master’s Seminary located in Santa Clarita.
MacArthur advocates for expository preaching and has been recognized by Christianity Today as one of the most impactful preachers of his era. He has authored or edited over 150 books, and his MacArthur Study Bible has sold more than a million copies, earning a Gold Medallion Book Award.
