James Montgomery Boice (July 7, 1938 – June 15, 2000) was a theologian, Bible teacher, author, and speaker from the United States, recognized for his writings on the authority of Scripture and his defense of Biblical inerrancy. He served as the Senior Minister of Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia from 1968 until his passing. Additionally, Boice was the Chairman of the International Council on Biblical Inerrancy for more than ten years and was among the founding members of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals.

He passed away due to liver cancer in Philadelphia on June 15, 2000. Boice was married to Linda Ann Boice (née McNamara) on June 9, 1962, in Montclair, New Jersey, and the couple had three daughters: Elizabeth, Heather, and Jennifer Boice.
