Adam’s fallen rebellious race,
Sin did once fully embrace
Until the Saviour, by His grace
Bore our sin and disgrace

There is no bitterness, nor condemnation
Sin’s curse and eternal damnation
Abolished, forgiven, declared righteous
All those who trust in Christ

O death, where thy pain and sting
Defeated grave, by the eternal King
The victory song, I will sing
What a day of glorious rejoicing

O’ Saviour divine, make me humble
At this thought, my soul, tremble
Christ suffering, my guilt and shame
Bearing my burden, for I am to blame

To be found in Christ is best
There is outside Him, no rest
Come to the cross and Christ accept
His saints, eternally, saved and kept
