“When you enter the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations.“ There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.

Deuteronomy 18:9-11

Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6

The founder of the church of Satan said that by dressing up, either by wearing a costume or colouring oneself for Halloween, is tantamount to worshipping the devil. A former Satanist turned Christian Pastor, John Ramirez, said that when you dress up even as an angel or a mermaid for Halloween, “you give the devil the legal rights to change your identity.” John Ramirez warned that there’s a much darker reality in Halloween beyond costumes and candy.

You shall not allow a sorceress to live.

Exodus 22:18

Britain is becoming an ever-growing benighted country. As a nation, the UK is rapidly declining in moral values. Part of our decadent age is the celebration of pagan and godless festivals such as Halloween. The promotion of this wickedness is not harmless fun nor is it good for the country. During this week parents will dress their children up in costumes that resemble ghosts, devils, demons, death, witchcraft, skeletons, vampires, and other satanic depictions.

The worship and invoking of devilish spirits is no laughing matter. The devil is a real force of evil in the world. The devil is nobody’s friend. His main objective is to mislead and harm all those who fall under his deception. To steal, to kill and to destroy is the aim of the devil. The Holy Bible gives us some good words of wisdom regarding this topic. In 1 Peter 5:8, the Bible says, “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

The “trick or treat” element of Halloween is also immoral. The message it sends to young children is this. Give me what I want or suffer the consequences! This selfish principle being taught to children is not for their good or well-being. Halloween and the rejection of Biblical principles in this country are contributing to our ruin. God will judge nations and individuals that celebrate and promote wickedness. British society is increasingly abandoning the worship of God and adherence to His Holy and authoritative Word, the Bible.

Death is not a matter of harmless fun. Death is the time we go to meet our Maker. The Bible says, “And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27). Rather than making light of death we would do well to consider the One who can give us the victory over death and Hell. In 1 Peter 3:18, the Bible says, “For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit.” This teaches us that all those who place their trust in Christ for salvation will be forgiven of all their sins against God. The believer is promised the gift of new life by faith in Christ.

The Bible tells us to bring up our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 says, “And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger; but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” The Bible also tells us in Deuteronomy 6:7, “and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” The question here is this. Will you heed the Word of God? Will you honour God during the Halloween season or will you be a worshipper of the enemy of souls?

Halloween is a wicked and satanic festival that no Christian should have any part of. If you take part in the celebration of this you open up yourself to witchcraft, paganism and satanic forces. Halloween is celebrated annually on October 31st. As Christian people, we ought to be celebrating Reformation Day which is also on October 31st. This Christian celebration marks the start of the Reformation in Europe. During the Reformation, souls were freed from the bondage and superstition of pagan practices and lifestyles. So on October 31st will you join the ungodly and celebrate Halloween or will you stand with the godly and give thanks to God for saving souls from the bondage of sin, death and hell?

“And do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them.”

Ephesians 5:11

“You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.”

1 Corinthians 10:21
