The Bible touches on the misunderstandings that were prevalent during Christ’s life. Many people misread His teachings. For example, Nicodemus did not grasp the idea of being born again in John 3. Nicodemus asked in John 3:4, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” We frequently misinterpret what others communicate. Like Nicodemus, I believe that at some point in our Christian journeys, we have also misconstrued Christ’s message and the Scriptures and needed clarification.

When we encounter individuals who have misinterpreted the Bible’s teachings, we should respond with love and grace while aiming to clarify any misconceptions. It’s important to remember that we were once in their position, without God and without hope in the world. Let our conversations be enriched with wisdom and positivity.

Our objective should be to seek the truth, rather than merely to win an argument. As we carry on with our daily activities today, may we pray for opportunities to testify on behalf of God and to guide lost souls to the Saviour.
