And He made from one, every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times, and the boundaries of their habitation,

Acts 17:26

God’s Word teaches us that we are made from one. The KJV translation says that God has “made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth.” All mankind is created from one blood and there is no supreme nation or people group on earth. God blesses all those who believe in Him. God created us in His image. Genesis 1:27 says, “And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” This is why every human life is important and sacred. All lives matter. God’s love and grace is available in every nation of the world and open to anyone who calls on Christ.

Believers in the Gospel belong to a Heavenly Kingdom, not an earthly one. We are here on earth as ambassadors for our King and Kingdom. One of the main reasons why God has placed Christians all over the world is to share the Good News with people of all nations. This is so others can join the assembly of God’s people and thus have a place in Heaven.

We have not been placed on Earth to be part of the world. Rather we are to be in the world, not of the world. We are to reach the world with the Gospel of Christ. We are told in Colossians to set our minds on things above and not the things of the world. In Romans, we are told to have our minds transformed by God’s truth and not to conform to the image of the world. In the Psalms, we are told to hide the word of God in our hearts so we will not sin against Him. In the Gospel of Matthew, we are told to go into the world and preach the Gospel. Also, in Matthew’s Gospel Christ tells us to set our treasures in Heaven. What will it profit us to gain all the world’s riches and lose our own souls?

The closing verse of 2 Corinthians 4 says, “while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” Let us be people who can say by the grace of God, “We walk by faith, not by sight.”
