Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.

Galatians 6:7

Those who are wise will reap the benefits of godly wisdom and faithfulness. This biblical principle is profitable for Christians and non-Christians. The action we take today affects tomorrow. The opening words of the verse teach us the root cause of a careless method of decision-making. Unwise decisions are made by those who are deceived and do not believe in the truth. Here the Apostle Paul is talking about spiritual decisions, but this can also be applied to secular matters.

The principle that you will reap what you will sow is good news for those who sow righteousness, holiness, and godliness. However, for those who sow sinfulness and wickedness, this principle is a frightening thought. It is a true saying that we cannot live with the Devil and expect God to pay the rent. Do not deceive yourself. You shall reap the harvest of your life.

Every choice has a consequence. If we make godly decisions the Lord will bless our faithfulness. May we always remember that our actions have consequences. Our decisions affect the future, and the lives we lead today signify our future.
